Humans or Relationships? The question that we need to ask is a very simple one. Human or Relations? What’s at the core of our efforts or dynamics toward each other? Is it the relationship itself that’s of prime importance or is it the human that’s at the end or at both the ends of the relationship? Humans are bound to each other with a natural desire to be with each other. The relationship building process is a means to achieve this natural state of peaceful co- existence, unless it’s threatened with yet another instinct or law of survival. Struggle for existence or survival of the fittest may push aside all relationship building instincts. These are very rare cases and whenever that happens, it sabotages everything. However, in normal human relationship dynamics, we are just going by our basic instincts of bonding. In the process, we sometimes forget that we are dealing with humans. It’s not the relationship that’s important. It’s the human that is more important than the relationship. We create so much of drama, manipulation, lies and self-justification around the relationship dynamics, that we just completely ignore or forget as to why we started it. We try to build perfect relationships and keep focusing on the relationship instead of the humans involved in it. We hide our own imperfections behind our ego We hide our imperfections by abandoning the relationship. We do not realise that it’s not the relationship we are abandoning. We abandon the human. We abandon to an extent that the same human becomes worse than even a stranger. We don’t feel the need for relationship. And more than that we don’t feel the need to have any connect with the human involved. Why such hatred towards fellow humans? Just because relationship was a burden we start disliking humans? Why let go of all the efforts, feelings, emotions and positivity involved in getting close to a humans? We may try building newer relations with different humans but till we understand and respect the human in the relation, we may be repeating the same thing again and again. We will keep trying to build a perfect relationship with imperfect humans and in the process end up moving away from the humans.
