Saying yes to life The constant search for answers pertaining to life may give some food to the brain but may not give answers. We may find or derive our own answers but they may not be the right answers. We may keep digging more and more and yet may not be able to unearth anything. It’s like an ant moving around a round ball or sphere. Making efforts to reach somewhere but still remaining on the same sphere. The intellectual exercise of finding meaning and reasons for things is yet another way of pleasing our own ego to have answers and understanding of all the things. What is it that we are trying to understand? Life? Isn’t life just life itself? Isn’t it just about living? Intellectually, we all understand what life is. It’s the truth that we all have seen enough of. Especially, if we are a normal adult with a normal life. What is normal life? A normal life is all about birth, pain, happiness, gain, loss, love, hate, fair, unfair, winning and losing. A normal life is being right and being wrong. We give so much importance to our ego that we are always worried about being wrong and the consequences of the same. Old age is life Disease is life Loss is life Humiliation is life Misery is life Broken heart is life Depression is life Death is life If we agree that all the above is life, how can we say no to all the pain and misery? Saying no to all the above means saying No to life. Life is a mix of both positive and negative experiences. We can try but may not find answers or explanations to our negative experiences. We can’t even find answers and logic behind our positive experiences. Things just happen our way and things just do not happen our way. In reality, there is nothing like our way. It’s the life’s way. When we say yes to life we say yes to its ways. We can’t enjoy or appreciate the mountains if there are no valleys. We enjoy the highs with reference to lows. So when we already have accepted and said yes to life, why feel negative or anxious or scared about something that we have ourselves said yes to? Can’t we be just bold enough to commit to all the ways of life? All understanding and intellectual realization about life should also be materialized into our real actions and the projection of same in our thinking. We all understand everything and must have gained lot of wisdom but can we transform this into living as per our understanding? Can’t we just roar with our head held high to the ways of life? Let’s take it head on and walk through it. I am fine
